My mother just had Direct Superior Total Hip Replacement, that is minimally-invasive. There is no cutting of muscle or tendons, nor dislocation during surgery. As an experienced nurse, I am so impressed with the skill, knowledge, and bedside manner of this of this surgeon. My mother is 78 years old and immediately after surgery she looked like she would be ready to go in a couple of hours. She had PT just hours after surgery. A huge difference from 4 years ago when she had her other hip done.

I am 5 weeks out from TKR. While my recuperation has not been easy, Dr. Fischer has been supportive through the process, both pre and post. He provided realistic information about the surgery and recovery, pre surgery. I appreciated he did not sugarcoat, as this has helped my to navigate the ups and downs of my recovery. One gets the sense he is meticulous, lending confidence to his skills. I chose him on the recommendation of a nurse who has worked with him in the hospital setting.

I am eight weeks out from a hip replacement and feeling great for a 68 year old. Dr. Fischer and his team have made this experience a terrific one from start to finish. I was off pain meds and walker 3 1/2 days after surgery and hung up the cane ages ago. Physical therapy has been strengthening my leg and getting me back into shape. Dr. Fischer has dramatically improved my quality of life. Take it from a guy whose last surgery was in 1955 - This guy is the real deal. Let him help you.

Dr. Fischer worked around my schedule. He is very caring and always is right on time with appointments. He replaced my right hip and as soon as I woke in the recovery room, I was not in any pain. He has worked a miracle for me. I can now walk and do all the things that I have not been able to do for a very long time. I need both knees replaced and you bet that it will be Dr. Fischer that I go to for that surgery. I feel very fortunate that I was recommended to go to him by another surgeon.

Dr. Fischer replaced my hip in August 2017. His office staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Fischer explained the procedure to me and answered any questions I had. I work in the medical field and stand for long periods of time. This was becoming quite difficult with my bad hip. Once my decision was made, Dr. Fischer's office got me on the schedule at Plaza Ambulatory Surgery Center as soon as possible. The surgery went well and I was surprised that the post-op pain was less than the pre-op pain. The approach he takes cuts no muscles so I was on my feet the same day. I also went home the same day. I was only off work for three weeks. The post-op period went very well. I am now enjoying my job pain free. I cannot praise Dr. Fischer enough. He is a compassionate surgeon and his surgical skills are exceptional. He also teaches other surgeons around the country this new approach to hip replacement surgery. I have a bad hip on the other side. I will have him replace the second on as soon as he feels it is necessary to do it.

I've had chronic pain after hip replacement and Dr Fischer was recommended to me. He hasn't rushed into surgery but had me try other less-invasive paths first. Very thorough and thoughtful. Really knows his stuff!

Dr. Fischer & his staff were professional, courteous, and prompt in addressing my concerns about my knee. I felt vulnerable at the beginning of my appointment, but by the end I had a diagnosis and an action plan! Thanks to the whole team.
